13th National Prevocational Medical Education Forum
(9th - 12th November 2008 - Wrest Point, Hobart Tasmania)
In November 2008, PMCT (or PMIT as we were then) hosted the 13th Prevocational Medical Education Forum in Hobart. The turnout was exceptional, with almost 4OO delegates, making it the largest purely prevocational forum held so far. Go to the post conference page for information regarding MEO, DCT, JMO reports and feedback, and also many of the presentations.

JMO Forum
What is the JMO forum ?
Our Goal is to improve education and training for JMOs!
The JMO Forum is a group of young doctors who are interested in representing junior doctors interest in education and training. It was formed in 2009 with the support of the Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Tasmania (PMCT).
This forum gets together approximately three to four times a year to examine the current issues affecting our ongoing education and training needs. There is direct communication with the PMCT Committees and Subcommittees, and we also work with other external groups interested in prevocational education.
Who can be Involved ?
Medical Students, Interns, Residents, Registrars, YOU !!
The forum is made up of young doctors from all across Tasmania. Our levels of appointment range from medical students to interns to registrars, but share one thing in common - we are all interested in being actively involved in improving our own education and training opportunities. So, if you do not like to just stand by and watch things happen without your input and you would like to have a say in what happens to you throughout your training, join us !
Where can I start ?
Make contact and find out how you can participate in the JMO forum by emailing Dr Lynn Hemmings, Deputy Chair PMCT & Medical Education Advisor, RHH.
